1. Acknowledgment & Agreement
By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry, making a booking, or staying at Mana Binayak Boys Hostel (hereafter "Hostel"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you should not use our services.
These Terms apply to all guests, including students, professionals, long-term residents, and visitors. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not comply with these Terms.
2. Booking & Reservation
2.1 How to Book
- Complete the online enquiry form on our website
- Call us at +977-9861888176 during business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Message us on WhatsApp at +977-9861888176
- Visit us in person at 20 Natole Rd, Lalitpur 44600, Nepal
2.2 Confirmation
A booking is only confirmed once:
- You receive written confirmation (email or WhatsApp) from the Hostel
- Your first month's payment has been received
- You have completed the registration form in person
Until confirmation, your requested room and dates are not guaranteed. We will attempt to accommodate requests based on availability.
2.3 Room Assignment
The Hostel reserves the right to:
- Assign specific rooms within your chosen room type
- Change room assignment if necessary (with advance notice)
- Maintain the right to refuse booking to anyone
2.4 Age & Eligibility
Only male guests aged 16+ are permitted. Valid ID proof is required at check-in. Guests under 18 may require parental consent documentation.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Pricing & Currency
All prices are quoted in Nepalese Rupees (NPR) and are per person per month:
- 4-Bed Room: NPR 11,000/month
- 3-Bed Room: NPR 12,000/month
- 2-Bed Room: NPR 13,000/month
- 1-Bed Private Room: NPR 14,000/month
3.2 What's Included
Your monthly rent includes:
- Accommodation (room & bed)
- 4 meals daily (breakfast, khaja, dinner, morning tea)
- 24/7 WiFi internet access
- Solar-powered hot water
- Laundry service (2 times per week)
- Utilities (electricity, water, waste management)
3.3 Payment Schedule
- First Payment: Due upon booking confirmation (Admission Fee)
- Monthly Rent: Due by the 1st of each month
- Late Payment: A penalty of NPR 500 applies for payments more than 5 days late
- Continuous Late Payment: May result in room termination without notice
3.4 Payment Methods
We accept:
- Bank transfer (details provided upon booking)
- Cash payment in person
- Mobile payment (eSewa, Khalti, etc.) – contact us for details
3.5 No Refunds for Partial Months
If you check out mid-month, no pro-rata refund will be issued. You must complete the full calendar month, regardless of departure date.
4. Cancellation Policy
4.1 Cancellation Notice Requirements
- Before Check-in: 30 days' notice required. Full refund of security deposit issued (minus any processing fees)
- 0–7 Days Notice: 50% of first month's rent forfeited; 50% refunded
- No Notice / No-show: 100% of first month's rent forfeited; no refund issued
4.2 Check-out & Notice Period
To vacate your room, you must:
- Provide minimum 30 days' written notice (email or physical letter)
- Pay all outstanding monthly rent in full
- Return all room keys and access cards
- Leave the room in clean condition
4.3 Early Checkout Penalties
If you leave before your stated checkout date without proper notice:
- You forfeit the remaining balance of your current month's rent
- Your security deposit will be used to cover any shortfalls
4.4 Hostel's Right to Terminate
We reserve the right to terminate your stay immediately without refund if you:
- Violate house rules or conduct policies
- Continuously pay rent late
- Cause property damage or disturbance
- Engage in illegal activities
5. Guest Conduct & House Rules
5.1 Expected Behavior
All guests are expected to:
- Treat fellow residents and staff with respect
- Maintain the premises clean and hygienic
- Follow the daily schedule and meal times
- Respect quiet hours (10:00 PM – 8:00 AM)
- Keep noise levels to a minimum, especially in common areas
5.2 Prohibited Activities
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Smoking, vaping, or use of tobacco/nicotine products (inside and in common areas)
- Consumption of alcohol or intoxicating substances
- Possession of weapons, explosives, or dangerous items
- Illegal activities of any kind
- Violence, harassment, bullying, or abusive behavior
- Bringing guests, overnight visitors, or outsiders to your room
- Unauthorized subletting or room sharing with non-residents
- Cooking or food preparation in rooms (except cold items)
- Gambling or unauthorized gatherings
5.3 Room Access & Privacy
- Staff may enter your room for cleaning (scheduled) or maintenance (emergencies)
- We respect your privacy but reserve the right to conduct inspections if house rules are suspected to be violated
- Your roommates also have equal right to use the room during designated hours
5.4 Visitors & Guests
- Brief daytime visitors are permitted in common areas only (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Overnight guests are not permitted
- Visitors must be accompanied by the resident at all times
- Violation may result in immediate room termination
5.5 Enforcement
Violation of conduct rules may result in:
- First offense: Verbal warning
- Second offense: Written notice
- Third offense: Room termination (30 days' notice) or immediate eviction without refund
6. Liability & Disclaimers
6.1 Personal Property
The Hostel is not responsible for:
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
- Valuables left in common areas or unattended in rooms
- Electronic devices, jewelry, cash, or documents
Recommendation: Keep valuables in a safe place or use locker facilities. Consider personal travel insurance.
6.2 Limited Liability
The Hostel's total liability is limited to the amount paid for your stay. We are not liable for:
- Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of income, data, or business opportunity
- Personal injury (except due to our gross negligence)
6.3 Force Majeure
We are not liable for unavoidable circumstances including:
- Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, storms)
- Service interruptions (WiFi outages, water supply issues, power cuts)
- Pandemics or public health emergencies
- Government actions or civil unrest
In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate affected guests, but refunds are not guaranteed.
6.4 Food & Allergies
While we provide nutritious meals, the Hostel is not responsible for:
- Allergic reactions to meal ingredients
- Foodborne illness (unless due to our negligence)
Please inform us of food allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of booking.
7. Facility Usage & Policies
7.1 WiFi & Internet
- WiFi is provided 24/7 with fair usage policy
- Excessive bandwidth use may result in throttling
- Downloading illegal content is prohibited
- The Hostel is not liable for internet interruptions
7.2 Meals & Dining
- Meals are served at scheduled times: Check meal schedule upon arrival
- Special dietary requests must be requested in advance
- Guests are responsible for their meal attendance; missed meals are not refunded
- Food from the hostel may not be taken outside without permission
7.3 Laundry Service
- Laundry is provided 2 times per week (Wednesdays & Saturdays)
- Separate colors and whites as instructed
- The Hostel is not liable for lost or damaged items in laundry
- Items must be collected within 24 hours or a storage fee applies
7.4 Utilities & Hot Water
- Solar hot water is available 24/7 (subject to weather)
- During power outages or maintenance, services may be temporarily unavailable
- Guests should use utilities responsibly
7.5 Common Areas
- Keep common areas (kitchen, lounge, bathroom) clean after use
- No smoking, alcohol, or drug use in common areas
- Respect others' use of shared spaces
8. Damage & Security Deposit
8.1 Security Deposit
- Security deposit = 1 month's rent (non-refundable if you breach these Terms)
- Deposit is refundable within 7 days of checkout if no damages are found
- Damage assessment conducted at checkout
8.2 Normal Wear & Tear
Normal wear and tear (minor scratches, faded paint) is acceptable and not charged. The deposit is refunded in full.
8.3 Damage Charges
You are responsible for repairs/replacement of:
- Broken windows, mirrors, or doors
- Damaged furniture or fittings
- Wall damage beyond normal wear (holes, stains)
- Missing items from your room
- Damage to shared facilities caused by you
Repair costs will be deducted from your security deposit or invoiced to you if exceeding the deposit amount.
8.4 Checkout Inspection
An inspection will be conducted:
- At the time of your checkout
- You are encouraged to attend
- Damages will be documented and photographed
- You will be provided an itemized damage report
9. Dispute Resolution
9.1 Complaints & Concerns
If you have a complaint or concern, please:
- Step 1: Speak to the Hostel management in person or via phone
- Step 2: Submit a written complaint via email with details
- Step 3: Allow 7 days for a response and resolution attempt
9.2 Mediation
If the complaint is not resolved, we will attempt mediation through a neutral third party.
9.3 Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any disputes shall be resolved under Nepalese law and jurisdiction.

11.1 Right to Modify
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
11.2 Notification of Changes
We will notify guests of material changes via:
- Email notification
- Notice posted on our website
- In-person notification at the Hostel
11.3 Continued Use = Acceptance
Continued use of our services after changes constitute your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Archived versions of these Terms are available upon request.
